Financial and Spiritual Accountability

Give me neither poverty nor riches;
Feed me with food convenient for me:
Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD?
Or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.
-Proverbs 30:8-9

Proper accountability is essential for the credibility and long term success of any ministry.  We are thankful that Timothy House has great financial and spiritual accountability partners.

Spiritual Accountability

A healthy local church (Baptist), including its board and pastor, oversees Timothy House spiritually.  The orphanage is run by a Mexican couple who are followers of Jesus Christ and members of the local church.  The church conducts a prayer meeting every Friday night at Timothy House and the church youth group also goes there for community outreach activities such as volleyball, soccer and special presentations.

Financial Accountability

Lifesong for Orphans is a US ministry that provides financial accountability.  All donations go through Lifesong, and are only transferred to the Mexican checking account after the Casa Timoteo supplies expense reports that are audited by the local accountant.  Bob and Joy Huber continue to help with long term planning and coordinating prayerful support for the ministry.  One of the benefits of working with Lifesong is that they do not change any administration fee for process tax deductible donations.  Therefore, 100% of the donation is available for ministry expenses.
